This website sets no cookies and embeds no analytics, tracking or marketing services. Your behaviour on the website is not analysed. Fonts are served from our own server, so no data is transferred to third parties when they load. Google Search Console, described below, only evaluates data from Google Search, not your visit to this website.
Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Berlin. When you visit the website, the server processes technically necessary data in log files, in particular IP address, date and time of access, the page requested, referrer URL, and browser and operating system. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is the secure and stable operation of the website. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the host.
Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process your details to handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the data once it is no longer needed for this purpose, unless statutory retention periods apply.
Story Check: sending your result
The Story Check evaluates your answers in your browser; nothing is sent to us in the process. Only if you send us your result using the form do we process your email address, your optional name and company, and your result including your answers. Your details are sent in encrypted form to our server at STRATO AG and forwarded to us from there by email. They are not stored on the server itself. No other services are involved. We use it only to reply to you and handle your request. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your request relates to a contract, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR. We delete the data once it is no longer needed for this purpose, unless statutory retention periods apply.
Booking a call via Google Calendar
To book a call, we link to a Google Calendar booking page. Data is transferred to Google only when you open that link. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. A transfer to the USA is possible; Google LLC is certified under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR. For details, see Google's privacy policy.
Google Search Console
We use Google Search Console, a service of Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. It shows us how our website appears in Google Search, for example which search terms it is found for and how often it was shown and clicked in the results. Google provides this data to us in aggregated form, without allowing us to identify individual visitors. No code is embedded on our website for this purpose, and no cookies are set. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest is to understand and improve how our website can be found. For details, see Google's privacy policy.
SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons, this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by "https://" in your browser's address bar.

Our articles contain links to external sources. Data is only transferred to the respective provider once you click such a link. That provider is responsible for any processing on its side.

This website and its texts were created or edited with the help of artificial intelligence. No data is sent to AI services when you visit the website; the Story Check evaluates your answers in your browser.
